"Scholar's stones"
Inaugurated the exhibition in Ancona
From north
Guangxi mountains and from Liu river has come to Ancona hundreds of
magic stones, the famous "Scholar's stones" that so many meanings assume
in China, but not only.
They assume different forms because of the winds and the flow of waters
of million of years and some seem painted thanks to the presence of
manganese oxides and of others mineral deposited on the fossil mud over
180 million of years ago.
Mandarins use these stones to appraise the ability of concentration of
the own pupils, rich peoples give them as gift on various recurrences.
Some grey stones are played to obtain serenity and others are possessed
as "protection."
To discover the "Scholar's stones" in Marche region has been Tiziano
Cossignani; he has prepared in Ancona, in the structure Spazio-Tempo, in
Valle Miano street 5, one extraordinary exposure that creates
competition to the greatest world shows of these particular stones.
Liu river,
from which the stones originate, is long over thousand kilometers and
leads in the south east of China and it crosses the city of Liuzhou, 4
million of inhabitants, where there is the greatest center devoted to
the "Scholar's stones".
The show
will stay open up to October 3 from 10-00 a.m. to 12.30 a.m. and from
04.00 p.m. to 05.00 p.m. of every working day.
